Technology has begun to play a critical role in runners' athletic performance by enhancing motivation and inspiring new participants.

1.  Running apps are a revolutionary addition to a runner’s routine
a.     This section will discuss the evolution of running apps from the time the first running app came out to present day running apps.
b.     Could I possibly include a personal anecdote? I am a runner and use a running app every time I run outside.
2.     Not all running apps were created equal and each download offers new features
a.     This section will compare and contrast a variety of running apps using sources that analyze and test run these apps. The sources are websites and publications that are well trusted by those in the running community.
3.     Running apps have the potential to influence runner’s motivation and goals.
a.     This section will discuss recent research/studies that analyze the influence apps and other running technology can play in a runner’s cognitive process while exercising.
b.     This section will also include my video interview with University of Maryland professor of kinesiology, Seppo Iso-Ahola. Questions will include:
                                               i.      Do you believe running apps and other athletic performance apps influence motivation to exercise or set personal goals? If so how? 
                                             ii.     What new features would you like to see on upcoming running/athletic performance apps?
                                            iii.     Can you explain how motivation works in a runner’s mind?
                                            iv.     What other factors influence motivation during athletic performance?
4.     The best apps and motivation tools for everyone from the occasional runner to the marathoner
a.     This section will include an analysis of the conclusions drawn during the interview.
b.     This section will also analyze any research and data that discusses the best apps and motivation tools for runners.
