I have been reading up about the EU's current immigrant/refugee crisis. The most recent story I read was about a young Syrian boy, Aylan, that washed up on Turkey's shore. Aylan's father identified his son's body along with the bodies of his other son and wife. The family was seeking refuge in Greece with the hope of eventually reaching Canada. I share this information with my peers because it is important to understand the international crisis occurring. As a nation we are experiencing our own conflicts regarding immigration and it is interesting to learn about comparative situations.
